Run by Dr Rachel Brown

Calling all those who work in a health, social or environmental role and need a space to re-connect and re-set.

Are you noticing elements of what we call ‘burnout' within your place of work? Perhaps you find yourself pulled out of line with your values and need space to recalibrate. Maybe you simply want to resource yourself.

Burnout and moral injury are common experiences within our current systems. In fact, often they are accepted as part of the work. Working in complexity, within the dynamics of trauma, can be exhausting yet also provide an edge where new ways of being can emerge.

To stay sustained and balanced in this work, we need spaces to come back to the ‘Heart of the Matter’: our values, passions and ways of sustaining ourselves. Join this two day workshop to explore your experience, feel validated and resource yourself further to navigate complexity.

What are experiences of complexity?
*Holding different tensions
*High amounts of expressed distress
*High demand - Low resources
*Unpredictable environments
*Systems with many moving parts

Who is the workshop for?

It is for everyone who wants to feel alive and balanced within your work context.
Perhaps you work in sectors such as health, housing, mental health, education and/or social care. Wherever you work, we welcome anyone who feels this space would be of benefit to them.

If you/your organisation are engaging in become more psychologically and trauma informed, this workshop would fit any service development work you are planning around enhancing staff support/wellbeing, reflective practice, and the 4 Rs of Trauma Informed Care. A map of how this workshop connects with these principles will be offered.

What is the workshop about?

*Reconnecting to ‘what matters’ to you
*Acknowledging the ‘parts’ of us that protect us within the work context
*Developing a sense of interconnection with others and the wider earth
*Finding clarity and values based ways of responding

What to expect?
Within this two-day workshop we lean into nature as a guide, container and inspiration for our explorations and reflection on what it is like to work in situations of complexity.

Participation will involve time out in nature and facilitated self-reflection activities, alongside working in pairs and small groups. There will be opportunities to share in the wider group (however this is an option rather than an expectation).

The group will be between six and 12 participants

If you would like a call to discuss the group please just reach out and we would love to talk to you!
